Sadi x Máel Dúin Pups

In early August 2007, Foss and I were pleased to "host" nearly a week of herding fun and Canadian Kennel Club herding trials for the Cardi's and their owners.  This was the first National Specialty Herding event held by the club and we were really thrilled to be asked to host the trials!  Throughout the week we watched the lovely Corgi and the other breeds that came to join in the fun, as they worked sheep and learned so much!  We did two days of training, a day of "herding instinct tests" (which everyone passed) and then we got into three days of trials with judges Tanya Wheeler (Tucker Creek Australian Shepherds, Thunder Bay, Ontario) and Sue Mesa (Branstock Farm Corgis, Royston, Georgia).

We all had a great time and below are the trial results as well as some of the photos from the week!
